  Can I get iD Mobile next-day delivery?

  You won't have to wait long for your new phone or tablet, with free next-day delivery when you order by 5pm Monday to Thursday. However, SIM cards (if you've opted for a SIM-only plan) are delivered by Royal Mail and usually take 2-3 working days.

  Do I need an upgrade or plan change?

  Depends on whether you’re happy with your current phone. If you’d like to keep the handset but you wouldn’t mind changing your monthly costs or data allowances, then you can do that by changing your plan. You can still change plans when you’re upgrading but the key difference here is that you will be changing your phone to a brand-new one.

  Why would I get a SIM-only deal?

  SIM-only deals are cheaper than standard smartphone contracts as they come without a handset. They also offer the flexibility to change devices whenever you fancy. You just purchase a monthly allowance of data for use on the internet, a set number of minutes for phone calls, and a number of texts to send. Be careful that your mobile phone isn't locked to a different network from your SIM or you won't be able to use it but locking handsets from UK mobile networks will be banned from December 2021.

  iD Mobile offers data rollover. What does that mean?

  Data Rollover is a free feature on all new iD plans. It rolls over unused monthly data to the next month, giving you a second chance to use it. Basically, if you had any unused data last month, you can use it the following month, and you’ll use this data up first. Your unused monthly data allowance always rolls over to the next month. This means you’re less likely to run out of data and pay extra charges and you can choose a plan with just the right amount of data. It’s like the old days of mobile contracts

  When will I get 5G with iD Mobile in my area?

  5G is the next gen of mobile technology (we started with 1G). It’s going to bring us even faster data speeds, better connectivity and less buffering. iD Mobile is rolling it out on selected phones at no extra costs. iD Mobile 5G is currently available in over 150 locations across the UK. And there are more being added this year. You can use their coverage checker to see expected 5G coverage in your postcode.

  Can I trade in my old phone at iD Mobile?

  Yes, iD Mobile offer a trade-in service so you can get cash for your old devices. Get an instant quote online and if you're happy, you'll receive a prepaid postage bag. Send in your old handset and you'll be paid within 3-5 working days of receipt.

  What is the difference between a refurbished phone and a new phone?

  When you buy a new phone, it will arrive in pristine condition, fresh out of the factory in which it was produced. A refurbished phone will still come in a shiny box, but it will have been used by another owner. There may be some small signs of wear, but the phone will have been restored to the highest standard, and comes with the same 12-month warranty, while costing less to buy.
